When I use that P1 cartridge in my ecotec 2.2, after use and upon removal, the media always seems wavy and distorted. I think the size may be a little off. I also bought a bunch of them on sale and the distortion happens every time. The Delco's come out looking like they did when I put them in(But dirtier of course). So now I start off with a Delco and after 2 1/2 to 3000 miles I put in a P1 for the duration of the OCI. (Overkill I know)
