Pure One 10Kmi OCI

Off friends 06 Tacoma 4.0 84kMi, about 10K mi OCI on Smitty Super S Blue 5w30. Friend was under assumption Toyota dealer did oil change during leaf pack recall visit. Changed this oil last 07-21-16. Replaced with Super Tech 3614 and 5 qts Super S Silver ($7.50 Kmart) and one qt Napa Syn 5w30. Reset maintenance minder for 5K OCI. Engine was at least one qt low before drain. Filter had holes not louvers and was in good shape ($5 Kmart)

That is a Synthetic (PSL) vs a Pure One (AKA “One” (PL)) right?

Yep, P1's were gold colored

I noticed that too, some double as well as several triple pleats.

I think he got his moneys worth out of the filter. Looks good though.
Is this a wire backed media? Wasn't this replaced by the Boss filter?
