Bought the last 5qt bottle of Pennzoil Platinum 5w30, no 1qt bottles, all PUP 5W30, is PUP Dexos approved for Turbocharged engines, have 2 turbo cars and was wondering about LSPI issues.

Dexos is not an approval; it's a license. Blenders buy additive packs that are formulated to meet Dexos specifications and then pay GM for the logo they put on the jug. Pennzoil Ultra Platinum (PUP) uses an enhanced Dexos additive pack but does not pay for the Dexos license for the Ultra Platinum lineup. However, you can use PUP with confidence in turbocharged engines—it works great and is better than Pennzoil Platinum (PP) by a decent margin.

It is a good oil. I only stopped using it in my new ride because it doesn't carry the latest Ford spec, even though I know it probably meets or exceeds it, while I under warranty I was getting a bit nervous.

P.U.P. 0w-20 , 5w-20 and 5w-30 are DEXOS 1 approved . It's at their site ( below ) , not on the bottle as of yet . Go to PENNZOIL site , click on FULL SYNTHETIC , click Ultra Platinum , scroll down then click on VISCOSITY DETAILS and then click on SAE 5w-30 for details .

Not surprised by this. Our Walmart has terrible inventory control. More often than not they are out of many common items. I was told the individual stores have no control over their inventory and are subjugated to corporate control.
