PTFE vs MoS2

Hello.

Could someone point out differences between PTFE and molibdenum disulphide as solid additives in grease?

As I understand both seem to be doing the same job - act like plates preventing seizure and metal to metal contact in extreme pressure situations.
However MoS2 always seems to be the first choice in industry while PTFE is more of a gimmick. According to the following info, PTFE is not effective at low temperatures. And I see it all the time as a an add on to greases and oils operating at standard temperatures.

This is what SKF says about PTFE:

What do you think about PTFE greases? One observation. I don't remember seeing MoS2 as an additive in a high speed bearing grease but I sure have seen PTFE. Any thoughts on that?

And another question... Is there a benefit of using PTFE or MoS2 grease in light conditions (eg. sleeve bearings) in order to extend lubricating intervals?
 
I think MoS2 can resist higher temperatures than Teflon, but in a grease it may not matter.

Teflon melts at 327 °C, and MoS2 at 1185 °C (decomp).

PTFE's coefficient of friction is 0.05 to 0.10, which is the third-lowest of any known solid material (BAM being the first, with a coefficient of friction of 0.02; diamond-like carbon being second-lowest at 0.05).

I think MoS2 is a semiconductor and PTFE is an insulator. I doubt if that matters.

Been my experience that PTFE greases are clear or light colored making them much cleaner, and commonly used in food contact applications. Most moly fortified greases I've encountered are dark colored and can make a mess.
Not sure if this has any bearing on the actual properties of PTFE or Moly, but its something I've noticed.
 
Thanks for the input guys. Yes, PTFE grease seems clean comparing to MoS2 but I'm really interested to see how they compare performance wise.
