If they separate in the pan so long as the proportion of additives are still correct, they will get stirred back in as the pump runs, if you're using only a portion of a bottle of atf to fill the transmission then if they've separated out that could be a problem, if you use a whole bottle I don't see where there would be any problem if they're in poor suspension as the additives will be stirred up by the transmission pump.If the additives can separate in the bottle, what's stopping them from separating in the trans pan after the vehicle sits for a long period of time???
I always shake oil or ATF, how I was taught. It's not that hardI hate when people do what I did. GM and Ford want you to shake the fluid before pouring.
Me tooWith the exception of drinks, I pretty much shake any liquid or product in a can/bottle/jar when I pick it up.
No idea why, I just do.
