PS cooler and bleeding air from PS

Two questions:

1)Is the power steering cooler in the typical setup under any significant pressure? Or is it in the return from the steering rack? (I think if it were under any pressure, the slightly loose hose clamp on the cooler line that I found tonight would have made it's presence known by more than just a slight leak...)

2)If I disconnect the power steering cooler to drain the power steering fluid after I run Auto-RX in it for 1000 miles, is there anything special that needs to be done to bleed air out of the system?

Vehicle is a 1988 Ford Mustang GT.

The PS cooler is usually located in the return side.

To purge air from the PS system;

Lift front wheels off ground.
Fill resovoir.
Turn wheel lock to lock several times with engine not running. Refill resovoir and repeat lock to lock as needed until it stays filled.

Start engine and turn wheel lock to lock several times. Check fluid and repeat as above until fluid level stabilises.
