This oil filter was off a co workers new to him 20’ Silverado with 2.7 engine. OLM was at 0% and unknown oil used vehicle place used. He supplied a ECOGARD filter and I put in some Quaker State Ultimate Protection 5w30

I mentioned this Boss said long as we can get MAHLE/Mann for under $9 we will keep using them. Even using above for BW/Audi and Mercedes and BMW NOW

Except 99.9% of people buying and using oil filters have no idea which ones are junk or not.

They buy according to Price tag, most of the time they will just go to the cheapest one, or they will just buy, orange can Fram, blue can STP (that's what's popular in my area)

Well, CHAMP LABS white can with nitrile Aadbv for my Focus is a whopping $1.30 on Rock Auto

With the “shortages” buying a OCOD (Fram extra guard) you won’t know if you get silicone adbv or……

ProTec at $1.77 on Rock Auto: I’ll take champ labs white can 100% of time
