Is there a good protectant for clear plastic headlights and taillights? I have used Meguiers PlastX and 303 Aerospace Protectant. PlastX is more of a cleaner/polisher even though it says it protects plastic. 303 is more for colored plastic, vinyl, and rubber. I want to keep the oxidation haze off the plastic as long as possible before I have to buff and polish it again.

Plexus Plastic Cleaner/Protectant/Polish

I heard that this those wonders on clear plastic vinyl windows ...

Never used it myself ...

I was under the impression that the solvents in most car waxes cause damage to plastic lenses.

Any "good" paint sealant will work: Duragloss, Collinite, etc. There's no need to spend money on many dedicated products.
