I'll start by saying that I order quite a bit from Rockauto. Every experience has been nothing but positive, with the exception of one order last year... I had ordered some motor mounts for my Miata and, as it went, these motor mounts had the same design 'flaw' that many other aftermarket mounts for this car did; they had an improperly located ear that made it hard to mount. Rockauto refused to ship it back for free because in their words, "we haven't heard any other complaints about this, so we can't do anything". This is despite the fact that you can find post after post online about this issue. Anyway... Long story short, I gave up, and the mounts worked just fine.
Fast forward to today: Just under a month ago, I ordered a TYC branded blower motor for the Fusion in my sig. Earlier this week, it failed in a spectacular fashion when it started vibrating something fierce, and smoke poured out of the vents accompanied by the smell of burning electronics. I got around to calling Rockauto today for a warranty exchange, and they told me that they were out of stock (I bought the last one). Since that was the case, and the manufacturer for this part does not require defective parts to be returned, the gentleman on the phone issued me a full refund, including shipping, without my even asking. He did this on my word alone and nothing else. I have to say, two thumbs up to Rockauto on this one.
You've earned my business for many orders to come.
I'll be disassembling the motor and using the spare good parts to rehab the bad motor it replaced.
