The Auto-Rx maintenance dosage is recommended anywhere between 2 to 3 oz for the maintenance dosage and it does not have to re-added until the next oil change, but has anyone in here tried to add more than the 3oz for the maintenance dosage. From the oil analysis and what Frank said here, it is all natural and does not show up in any oil analysis thus this leads me to the conclusion that more will not hurt anything. The one issue that can come up are the seals and I do know that some have recommended if the seals to continue to leak to either increase or decrease the maintenance dosage to fit the specific application needs.
But here is where the confusion comes in, Frank has mentioned many times on this web site for the people who do a regular cleaning cycle that Auto-Rx does get used up during the cleaning process thus no need to extend the cleaning phase. I hope that Auto-Rx does not get used up during the maintenance phase as it is cleaning away the burned carbon and I do hope that it can last the 10k mile interval beyond which most people in here do not go. I understand that in the cleaning phase more carbon is cleaned out than during the maintenance phase but I hope that Auto-Rx does not diminish in its ability to clean out carbon at the end of the oil interval. Your opinions please.
