propeller size determination

Measure the prop from end to end. To really measure the pitch, you'll need a angle finder or lay the prop on a flat piece of cardboard and trace it. Next, draw a straight line through the center of one of the blades, then measure the angle with a protractor. This is give you a good "guess-timate."

Take it to your local marine dealership. They can also tell you the recommended props for your boat. Usually you have a few choices of pitch depending upon your use.

Find a propeller repair shop in your area. They will be able to determine the size, rake, pitch, etc.

That is what I would do.

Just measuring the angle of the blades will not tell you the pitch. Remember that almost any modern prop has progressive pitch. Check the hub where the prop rests up against prop washer. Sometimes a part number inside there.
