program to play M.av

have an old sd card i would like to play the videos on my pc they are M.av file tried using VLC media player no luck

Strange. VLC plays pretty much everything. What error does it give you when you click on one of those .av files?

after doing a quick google, those look like files from a security/dash cam...
this gives SOME info, but not sure how much i trust it...

but yeah, every thing just says to throw it at VLC, and it should work....

MediaPlayer Classic-BE has managed to play a few files VLC haven't.
Better .RAR support for the fellas with wooden legs and parrot on the shoulder as well.
