Hey everyone I want to know a really good product for dash cleaning and also making it shine something that lasts would be great so it'll shine for awhile . Let me know what you guys recommend I have some turtle wax cleaner but it really isn't that good and it smells.

A lot of these products that make them "shine"....also help to make them crack over time. Repeated use might actually make them duller. I'd rather have a dash without cracks. And when I'm out of my car when it's parked in the sun, I usually put on the dash pad "carpet." Passersby can't tell if my dash is shiny or not.
I have used many products from Walmart, auto parts store, online only, etc. It's difficult to say what is best. When I got my beater, the dash was filthy (along w the rest of the interior). I used soapy water and a regular scotch sponge to get the grit off, wipe it up with a clean wet cloth and sprayed left over low gloss armour all I had sitting in the garage on it. Not saying armour all is the best, but it's doing a decent job on the beater. For a new car, I would use 303 protectant. On a used car I would use what ever I have laying around

Why??? When the sun hits it while driving, it just makes the glare all the more irritating. I would pay extra to have a product that does NOT make it shine.

What kinda shine are you looking for? Glossy or more satin "detailed" look. I have always liked Meguiar's M40 has always been my favorite. I have also had no issues with good old Amorall. They reformulated it years ago to prevent dash cracking issues. The only time you would hit that issue is with a solvent based dressing which few are now a days. Especially not OTC.

303 is fairly low gloss.
Use a microfiber to get the dust off.. with hot water if needed.
After it dries(if you use water)
spray some 303 on another microfiber and lightly buff it.
If you have a hard plastic dash not much works good on those.. I prefer the clean look with no gloss.
With "soft touch" type dash materials 303 works very well.
Less is more dont overapply... or wipe with a dry cloth when done to get excess off.
There are other similarly good products but 303 is very good.

I clean it with a good vinyl cleaner, and coat it with 303 or something similar. Close to 30 years in my van and the dash still looks good.

Yup, and that's the one I used in the past. The one issue I noticed with it is some off-gassing causing some haze/film to accumulate on the windshield over time, after using 303. Surf City Dash Away available at Walmart or Amazon. Nice scent, great cleaning ability and some protection. Money back guarantee. Use it to clean other things in the cabin as well. Around $9.
Blue Magic Interior Detailer is pretty good as well. Contains a feature called Dust Guard that works pretty well. Have to apply two coats, then buff off. Doesn't smell as good as the Dash Away. This smells like chemicals. Use either of these to clean your steering wheel, shifter, console, door panels etc...Dash Away works on fabric as well.

Yep...The glare is pretty bad with the sled's light tan dashtop. Putting anything on it just makes it worse. My solution was to get a piece of deep black non-reflective fabric and lay it on top on the drivers side. Amazing difference in transparency & with no-glare at all, MUCH easier on the eyes.

Maybe there a few keys to this. You want it to be clean and not dry out. You also may want it to dissipate heat so it does not get prone to cracking in the extreme heat or cold. Also, a glare can be troublesome.
I've always used Vinylex. Wipe off the dash really well with a damp microfiber towel and then apply. I've always used paper towels but next time I will use one of my Meguiars foam pads to apply. Let it sit for a few minutes and then polish the excess with a dry microfiber towel. It leaves a nice matte finish that lasts for months. I use it on the dash, door vinyl, anything plastic or vinyl. Just keep it off of steering wheels, brake pedals and the like!
