Problems with Red Line MTL in Dodge NV-5600?

I was just over at the Turbo Diesel Register.com, 3rd Gen. Engine & Trans. website. There is a thread entitled "another lube for NV-5600" in which "Gary-K7GLD" has a link to a post regarding his problems with Red Line MTL in his NV-5600. He had serious shifting problems where the trans. wouldn't even go in gear. Had to turn the engine off, put it in gear, and then re-start the engine. Very notchy shifting, also.
He had the RL-MTL in for 1500 miles and then changed it back to the factory (Mopar) fill and the trans. started shifting well, again.

I was thinking about changing to the RL-MTL in my truck but, after reading this post, I'm a little concerned. I know a lot of people are having good luck with the RL-MTL and this may be an isolated incident.

Any of you guys have problems like this? Is there a better way to go than using the RL? Any ideas as to why this guys trans. was acting this way?

I agree that contacting Specialty Formulations will get you good advice, and the best fluid available.

SteveS-Regarding a clutch problem, the problem was taken care of by changing back to the Mopar factory fill. I agree, though, it does sound like the clutch is acting up.
Jason T. & Mechtech- I'm not sure of the visc. When I changed mine out at 15,000 miles, I used Pennzoil Synchromesh #3501 which meets the Chrysler spec. #MS9224. I'm now at about 34,000 miles and am thinking about changing it again due to Dodge's recommended change interval.
I've been hearing a lot of good things about the Red Line MTL, up until now. Getting a little concerned about my choice!
I'm very intrigued by the Specialty Formulation's products but, am not sure if they meet Dodge's spec's. I'm concerned about warranty issues and using a non-recommended gear oil.
I suppose I need to get ahold of MOLAKULE and find out, for sure.

What is the DC specification for your transmission fluid?

We offer four different fluids for just about any manual transmission application and each is tuned for manuals with synchronizers.

I just finished sending you an e-mail (11:53AM, 4/1/05) with some questions regarding your products.
The Chrysler Part # 4874464, and the Chrysler Spec. MS9224, is the transmission spec.
I'm, also, interested in the F/R gear oils (fully synthetic 75w-90) and the ATF+4 for the transfer case.
The gear lube part # is 05102232AA (GL-5).
The ATF is part #05013457AA, ATF+4, MS9602.
From the stand point of preserving my warranty, would any of your products be approved by Chrysler for use in my truck?
