Sorry to say it but I don't care much for kids but I treat them well, except for the kids low income apartments behind the luxury apartments I live in. We're supposed to be a secure community but these darn kids keep finding a way into our peaceful little bubble.

A couple years back my first encounter with them was a tiktok challenge where kids would kick a random persons door and flee on foot all while filming it. I chased them out of the complex numerous times - all 315 lbs of me, after they kicked my door so hard I thought I was being robbed. They must've eventually got arrested because they disappeared from the complex and their apartments as well.

One time I ended up with a nail in my tire not once but twice - in the same tire which I chocked up to those knuckleheads.

Now we have a small trio of teenagers making themselves at home in this complex and have been asked to leave twice, once by the property manager and once by a person who was employed to keep watch for fires since our alarms were down. He told her if she returned police would be called.

I saw the girl from the group again tonight and as soon as I did my whole demeanor changed. My face twisted, I got rigid and I stared a hole through her. The male she was with made a smart remark and the female tilted her head as if to say "whatcha gonna do about it".

I stormed into my apartment, called the non emergency number and explained everything to them in a very agitated manner. I waited about 5 minute and came out 3 officers were split up escorting the male upstairs (he claimed he lived here) and the female left. I explained to the officers that they had been told to leave the property and not return on more than one occasion, that every time one of those kids (from the other apartment complex) comes over something ends up stolen or broken and the property manager gave us permission to call police if we saw them inside again. Police seemed agitated and explained to me that I can't get them arrested (which I never mentioned) and an employee of the property needed to be present and ask for them to be trespassed for arrested.

Now that I'm calm and I notified the property manager I don't feel bad at all, but I really can't stand bad kids either.

Did I overreact, because that's the vibe I got form Police.

Sounds like typical apartment complex living. What was the reason for calling the police? The look you were given?

No the fact that the female had been asked not to return to the premises twice and keeps coming over like she owns the place

Unless you own the place it's none of your business. Yes, you were in the wrong.
