Problem finding spring clamps

I have found the OE spring clamps many times will not aftermarket hoses very well if at all, sometimes you can put the clamp on eg the radiator neck before the hose and work it on as you push the hose on. OE hoses and OE clamps are nice to work with.
The Ford ones that you pull the pin and they snap into place are nice. Especially when you take the time to line up the marks with the matching marks on the engine.

I suspect it's because of all the sizes you would need to carry. Not a spring clamp expert, but I'd imagine there is a relatively narrow range of diameter for each size. I'll re-use the OEM used one over a worm drive, especially on plastic. Can you order them separately from the hose at the dealer? I get it that they may not fit an aftermarket hose due to the difference in thickness, that narrow clamping range again.

Didn't they used to be known as "Corbin" clamps? Unsure of spelling. I remember having to find a supply of various sizes when I did a factory-correct full restoration on my 66 Corvair, virtually every rubber hose on the car used them. It was one of the things the judges looked for. They certainly looked nicer than the worm clamps.

If you have a heat gun and want a semi-permanent install go with Gates Powergrip clamps.

Most likely because no one buys them. From the dealer standpoint a new hose from Ford generally comes with the clamp installed and locked in the open position for installation. As far as parts stores go I have never seen a parts store stock a spring clamp, only ever worm gear clamps and to be honest all I stock is worm gear clamps.
I have seen spring clamps in the store.

I greatly prefer the spring clamp style. However if I lived in the rust belt maybe not so much, but only because the worm type are widely available in stainless steel.

FWIW I've seen Eric O swap rusted spring clamps for worm drive. His attitude seemed to be what are you gonna do -- the spring clamp is rusted beyond use and worm drives do work. Can't say I blame him, esp where everything rusts so severely.

You have no idea how mad I was. I was fixing it in my driveway on concrete under the car, it was 38 degrees, it was raining and i had coolant dumped on me twice.
I have a spare worm drive clamp.
You know the funny part? Official ford manual? They basically say figure it out when it comes to using coolant hose clamps.
