I can access any web page I want except for one. Now I have been visiting this site for several years but since last saturday when ever I try, I get this message, Oops! this link appears to be broken. I have spoken to other members of this site by e-mail and it seems to work for every one else. I have tried every thing i know with out success.

Any body have any suggestions?

I don't suppose we could get the web address, eh? Perhaps someone else will not be able to access it and some error messages could be gone over.

Double check that the URL that you're using is clean, too; meaning that there is not a whole bunch of mangled garbage in it that may have represented an expiring "session". For example, http://theteddybearabbey.com?sessionid=jvbdsivbvhrbey34fy43f3yb3yc34by43bfy34f may not work if entered directly after that "session" had expired, or may be flagged by your ISP, DNS provider or even Google as having harmful stuff contained in the URL.

What exactly is the error message you get? Is the message from Google, your ISP or someone else?

Message is from google and says Oops! This link appears to be broken. This one web-site is the only one that does that. Started last Saturday.

I un-installed google, no change. I un-installed spybot, no change. I turned off windows fire wall, no change. I have symantic client security, but havn't changed any thing with it.

What happens when yo try http://208.100.23.65/ ? (That's the GM Trucks IP address directly, rather than using DNS - the Domain Name System - at all.)

Got the same message when i clicked on the IP address.

I called Comcast and they said that they couldn't help me.

Thanks,

Don

Go to another website like google.ca, and then clear your internet cache & cookies etc... Then close and re-open your browser and try it.

If it still doesn't work then try re-installing your browser if you are using Firefox or something other than Internet Explorer.

http://www.proxeasy.com/

Type in gm-trucks.com in the "Web Address" field and tell us what happens.

That worked.

I had restored my computer back to last week to a date before this started happening, but that was no help. It seems to be in the server but Comcast says absolutely not??? I have tried other search engines. I deleted all temp files and cookies. Did not help.

The only thing that worked was the proxy server.

It's your ISP then not being able to resolve the Domain. Call them and get them to try from their office both through the proxy website listed above and by itself that will prove it to them.

I hate these "Tech Support" guys that really aren't tech support guys... "Uh... You probably have to reinstall windows then, because your modem is fine sir...."
