Pro-Tec oil filter from O'Reilly's

Well, I was looking for some Wix filters at O'Reilly's today and the guy there said that he didn't have any but that he had these Pro-Tec's. He said they were made by Wix and are sold in bulk for local shops.

I did a search and there's nothing posted on Pro-Tec.

What do you all think of them?

The use of a retainer spring, and the Parker brand ADBV suggests that it could be.

It's like this, If I only said it was MADE by Wix, it would instantly be a "WIX" filter. Which bye the way, it is NOT.

I could be wrong, but it's probably similar to the Napa ProSelect, which is made /by/ Wix but it's not a Wix in the sense that it doesn't have the same media/adbv.

Since it is made by Wix, it should be well constructed. Likely on the same level as the Napa ProSelect.

Is it is good, budget filter? Should be.

The media just seems too weak to me. Wix is a solid filter I would rather use them.
