I have a Lexmark x7675 all-in-one. I just upgraded my Toshiba to Win 7 Ultiamte tonight (full clean install, not just an upgrade). I got the updated printer software from the Lexmark web site for x64 applications (it is good for Win 7 it says).
When I go to open the "productivity suite" (to control from the computer to do scans, faxing, etc) I get a "printer application stopped working" windows error message. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the software and get the same message. If I am in an application and just go to "file" then "print" all is normal (ie: the Lexmark software to control ink volume, page rotation, etc. is fine).
Here is the weird thing: it works fine on the other Windows 7 Ultimate (just upgraded, not a clean install, from Win 7 Home) machine I have. This machine is a five day old Samsung. The one I get the error message on is a year and eight month old Toshiba that used to run Vista (but again, I did a clean install of Win 7 Ultimate today on it so nothing from Vista should screw things up).
Any thoughts?
