Anyone have a link to a template for oil change reminder stickers? The ones that go on your windshield. I note the date and mileage of all our services, but in the Carnival there’s no quick way to see when the last oil change was. Have to fumble thru the menus. I have vinyl sticker paper for my printer, but I can’t find a good template online where I can print a bunch at once.

fwiw i've always sharpied the mileage in the corner like 5-10k for example and use some acetone on a napkin to take it off and sharpie again. But i imagine you can buy a universal sticker roll that you sharpie.

I bought a roll of these at some point off eBay or you can grab them from the parts store for free. I just ordered a roll because I didn't want any company logos on it. I think I used like three of them haha. Don't do many oil changes anymore.

I didn't know you could buy them. I've always just used a paint pen and wrote on the oil filter. Of course now all the vehicles pop up a reminder when you turn the key on.

Just found a pic of one online and printed 16 per page. Problem solved haha.
Given that they're a penny each with free shipping for nice colored ones with glossy paper and adhesive I don't even think I'd bother taping a home printed one to a windshield and have the office tape rip and leave little pieces which are always annoying.

You can get 'em free in the oil aisle of most FLAPS. You can chop the company name off with scissors if you want.

I use a label maker but it's not the "good" kind that won't fade. Sometimes they fade from heat.

I looked into a printer like @The Critic but didn't want to drop $500 just yet

I used vibrant blue in my old Dymo label maker. The resulting white lettering really pops.
Ex: "OIL 37.4K" I'd put it on the instrument cluster.
All you'd have to tell people is, "This is when you do your next oil change".
Everyone to whom I ever sold a car LOVED the look.

Frankly, even the stupidest person who'd care to look could see the odometer at, say, 35,245, and figure it out.

The local O'Reilly stores give out the transparent oil change stickers. Sometimes you have to ask for them as they have them hidden behind the counter. Other times, they have them on a roll next to the oil change supplies.

These days with cars built in oil change reminders the roll of oil change stickers gets used up more by kids sticking the stickers all over random stuff in the store than adults actually taking them for their intended purpose. At least that’s what it feels like!

I keep a notebook with tabs for every section of maintance, so I have a record of date and miles of every maintance. Also I watch when the maintance minder drops to 20 % and do the oc as soon as I can after it hits 20%.

No need for stickers.

i use a brother label maker.
“Change oil 123,456 M”

i’m the one servicing them so no need to know what was in it last.
