Prime Guard POF 1403, 7.5k mi CUT OPEN

Good Morning folks

Filter was off friends 23’ AWD GMC TERRAIN SUV. Had Providence synthetic 0w20 DEX 1 GEN 3 oil in sump. I put in last jug of M1 0w20 EP I had and a Titanium filter. Vehicle has 58,xxx on it.

Yes sir. Wonder how many with plastic ends are out there as I haven’t saw many. Was gonna toss one of these on the Dakota but I have 2 CQ Premiums and 8 XG-16 OG ULTRAS to use up

Well there was some silt/gunk in can so the Providence oil did something.

Great looking filter. Is that metal at the bottom of the can or just gunk that looks like it because of the light? that's too much metal after 58k. I'd expect to see that on the first few thousand miles.

Felt like silt, or carbon gunk to me. Not magnetic.

Looks like a candidate for a possible ADBV "flip-over" due to so much space between the ADBV and end cap - @Sayjac knows what I'm referencing. But being nitrile it was probably too stiff to do so.

my only reason for refusing to spin a basic PG filter on. especially when the XL is only a few dollars more.

It might look like a PG Inc made filter, but Prime Guard is not shown under the PG Inc umbrella.

Nope don’t see it under VAFI. I stand corrected unless it’s under CAFI?
