This problem was encountered by a member on our board and I was wondering if anyone had an idea on what might be causing it.

I'm curious as what could be causing this. Only good answer so far was the member that posted about the hoses.quote:
I'm assuming we're all going to have to start using this new crap based on "organic acid technology" now, since plain ol' ethylene glycol is impossible to find in my neck of the woods. It seems to be giving my truck an upset stomach, so to speak...
It says it's extended life and good for 150,000/5 years on all makes and models, but ever since i did a flush/fill back in December, I've had some funky smell emitting from the radiator and hoses. It's not a sweet smell like normal coolant, but some pungent (sour?) smell. When you take a whiff of the resevoir it'll knock your *** out. Many times I can smell it when I'm just walking in front of the truck. Although my heater core is (hopefully) not leaking, i occasionally get this funky smell blowing through the vents.
Now, it didn't smell this way directly out of the bottle - it had practically no smell then. It wasn't until 2-3 days after putting it in that it started to stank like **** . Anyone else noticed this "different" smell from that new antifreeze? I'm wondering if this "organic acid" stuff produces this funny smell when it does its rust inhibiting
