Pressurization of the cooling system?

i have a similar problem. there's air trapped in my cooling system and it's slightly above the level of the rad cap. there's just enough air in there that the radiator cap won't open unless im climbing hills and get it slightly above operating temperature (like 210 degrees) then it will make the overflow bottle rise. the hoses do get hard with the engine running though
