pressure washer "foam blaster" at HD

I bought one for $15 hoping to use it to clean some of the dirty areas of my home's wood siding. I have a 8-10 year old pressure washer I bought at Sams.

The foam blaster connects after the trigger using a 1/4" quick disconnect. My wand has no quick disconnect. Not sure I can even get the nozzle section off to install a quick connect.

The soap for the foam blaster says it produces a thick & clingy foam.

I do not want to buy a new trigger & wand assembly just to use the foam blaster.

If I cannot figure out how to easily and cheaply connect the foam blaster to my current wand, do you think it would produce thick and cling foam if I fed the soap through the normal chemical intake?

Yes, that should work Donald. You might want to put a clamp or vise-grips, or something like that, that will restrict the flow of the soap. On mine, if I don't restrict it a little bit, it will suck the soap up to fast. Just my $.03.

I emailed the company that makes the Foam Blaster and the cleaner will work any way you apply it, but will only make the clingy foam in the "Foam Blaster".

I guess many new gas pressure washers have 1/4" quick disconnect nozzles where my older pressure washer spray wand has an adjustable nozzle that cannot be (easily) disconnected from the wand.

I bought a used electric pressure washer off CL ($25) hoping I could use the Foam Blaster on it, but a no go. Then I found a replacement wand for electric pressure washers at HD ($14 online) that has adapters for various electric pressure washer (they seem to be proprietary) and a 1/4" quick connect at the nozzle end.

I hope the Foam Blaster ends up being worth my trouble.

I also notice that there are 4 or so proprietary fittings on the wand extensions for electric pressure washers. Maybe its so one does not use the wand extension from an electric lower pressure washer to a gas higher pressure washer. But I think you can swap the whole hose and/or wand from electric to gas.

On gas pressure washers (newer) there seems to be 1/4" and 3/8" NPT AND quick connects AND M22 fittings. Thats 5 different fittings.
