It seems the Premium Guard filter is a good filter and need to replace my stash of filters for the CRV.
I Google the part number and FS Parts some good prices. I wonder if it is to good to be true.

Both PG standard and XL. I have two cases of standard and one case of the XL. Excellent filters. Depending on shipping, looks like a good buy.

Just as a point of information, the PG 14612 application is shorter than the Honda spec 7317/14610 applications. Much closer to the 'average' 6607 application. If you're fine with that, go for it. As noted earlier though, with online sellers always check shipping costs for total price.

If I want the much bigger filter you saying to look at 14610 filter? I got the part number from PG's website

Yeah, I just started a dummy order using Paypal checkout with them for 12 filters and they wanted $34 for shipping alone. I canceled.

Really is hard to beat Rockauto in case quantity if looking for a PG made filter that may be under a private label brand.

You're better off just buying Fram orange cans at Walmart, since the PH7317 is the A02. Plus, since it's a common filter, it will almost always be in stock, and you don't have to buy a stash in bulk :D

Buying online or in bulk is only worth it if you have an unusual or otherwise hard-to-find filter.

This. Most of those cheap jobber filters are shorter than OE because they consolidate the 7317/14610 into the shorty 6607/14612 :sneaky:

There’s currently an eBay seller who has the PG4612EX (made in Vietnam) in a case of six for $32.30 with shipping. I went that route since it was cheaper than RA.

Not exactly. What I'm saying is you want the Honda equivalent spec application filter it is the longer 7317/14610. Generally speaking, ~1/2" longer. I understand comes from PG site and 'it seems' they don't offer it in the 14610 applications. Otoh, if one prefers to use the 7317/14610 equivalent PG made filter, the Carquest Blue 84356 or MicroGard Select 57356 are two examples of that. By topic offering the 14612 size they are able to cover more applications such as Nissan/Infiniti which spec the 6607/14612 application. Hope that clarifies my initial post here.
