Preliminary results using FP/LC

Test vehicle:
2003 IS300 5-spd L6 3.0L EPA mpg rating: 18 city - 25 hwy
mileage: ~27000 mi

What I did:
--Added (1) bottle of Gumout Regane to full tank, ran till empty (first additive used in this car's life)
--Changed oil to Valvoline Synpower (rebate from Pep Boys but usually run M1)
--Added (1) 5.25 oz bottle of Lucas UCL in full tank to empty (also rebate item, waiting for FP+/LC20 to arrive)
--Added 1.75 oz FP+ to tank and 6 oz of LC20 to crankcase

Conclusion:
First of all, this car is notorious for rather poor gas mileage for such a small car that isn't all that powerful. I've had the car since new and have consistently averaged ~20-21 mpg with mixed city/hwy driving. The best I've seen is ~25 mpg (all hwy) on a trip to Las Vegas going ~80 mph. The EPA estimates are actually pretty accurate.

After my first tank using FP Plus, I averaged 23.24 mpg with mixed city/hwy!

During this tank, I have also been driving harder than normal (many times at WOT) in order to see if I could detect any performance gains. As expected, I could not sense any obvious difference but I think the gas mileage increase is remarkable.

In the past, I have managed to squeeze out ~22 mpg when I was consciously trying very hard to drive conservatively. This includes driving C when hot and I tried not to deviate from my normal use.

I understand that it is possible to get skewed results from tests like these. I'm sure that many people have unconsciously adjusted their driving habits that resulted in an apparent increase in gas mileage and concluded that it resulted directly from a product they added to their gas tank. But I am trying to be as objective as possible. I have only tested 1 tank, but I intend on continuing to record my observations.

To summarize:
>10% increase in gas mileage in conditions comparable to before, had car since new, only did things listed above. Not sure what exactly caused this substantial increase, but plenty of data here to make your own judgments. Will continue to post results.
 
I managed to get 27 mpg mixed (summer) with an '87 300ZX with a 3.0L V6 using advanced ignit...acetone/xylol/Gp7 in the gas...a PCV jar...an EFIE....fender skirts...an extended air dam...additives in engine/trans/diff...upped tire pressure.

According to Consumer Reports...most vehicles they list in their (2004) report that have 3 L engines get around 20-21 mpg mixed. This is their actual test mileage...not EPA.
 
Just an update in case someone finds this using search:

Well, it turns out my initial 23.24 mpg result was a bit skewed. After about 8 tanks with FP+ and LC, I averaged 21.93 mpg (not counting the initial 23.24 mpg, of course). Each tank result was within ~0.5 mpg of any other so I feel my methods produced pretty accurate results (same pump, no top off, driving habits, air pressure, etc).

This is still slightly better than what I used to get (between 20-21 mpg), but I upped the tire pressure a bit and I may be driving more conservative than I used to. So I'm not sure if FP is solely responsible for the long term ~5% increase, but it certainly didn't hurt.

Since the FP test, I've run a couple tanks of Lucas UCL (500:1) and recorded similar numbers (maybe very slightly better?). I'm not sure since I wasn't able to thoroughly test the UCL. This is because I decided to test acetone/xylene/2C oil at different concentrations. I know a lot of people are skeptical about acetone but I want to see if it works for me. So far the results appear promising, but I'm only on the second tank. When I find the best concentration, I plan to omit the 2C oil and run a few tanks with just acetone/xylene. If I still get good results, I will have proof that acetone/xylene can increase gas mileage for my particular vehicle and will analyze cost/benefit from there.
 
I used FP60, then FP3000 in several vehicles. Driving almost 60,000 miles per year on the highway, plus the "usual" around town driving that my family and I do, and plotting each and EVERY mpg value on a spreadsheet...I do notice a difference. Mostly, the increased mpg's come from highway driving, no surprise. The only statistically-significant findings were when cruising on the highway. Second most important variable is speed. Third is Season (winter is the worst, then HOT summer, then spring, then fall is the best). I found a very slight increase in MPG using FP...but, it's only 0.25-0.6 mpg increase in my non-scientific "test"...and, it's not statistically significant. So, I do not have proof that it helps my vehicles from a mpg standpoint. The Seasonal trends are statistically significant on my highway cruiser, although the precise reason isn't isolated...is it the temperature, or the wind (more in the winter), or the fuel quality, or the difference in using the compressor? Et cetera.

The Seasonal trends are not statistically significant driving around town, although I do think there are trends...mine just get lost in the noise of various styles of in-town-driving related to things other than temperature...such as not turning off the car in order to keep it cool in the summer, or idling through a long line of cars at Christmas as we snake slowly through the park full of light decorations, etc.
 
The Regane is good stuff. It cleaned all sorts of thingson your ar - valves, combustion chambers, and injectors, are two that would help mileage.
Lucas UCL often gives a bit of gas mileage increase - some from chemical action and a bit of top end lube for less friction.
