It's in the Ford. I posted stellar UOAs long time ago in a 2017 Crosstrek Subaru.

It still likes a 1/2 qt magnatec to make it even better.
Like Butter on a twice-baked stuffed potato with Bacon cream and chives and cracked black pepper.

They all look good. I was not aware of all that moly either. The oil does seem to improve luggability.
Over the factory oil I just changed out in the ford 4 banger. The Thing will climb hills in OD at 1500 rpm now.

You can test any oil you want if you don't want to wait for PQIA or another BITOG'er to pill draw your favorite and give you the results for free.
I want PQIA to test it. Of course we can test it on our own, why would you even suggest something that's an innate given on this website?

Run the 5W20 in t your Camry - The thick M1 version - it will be happier.
At Least Spring through Fall where 0W does nothing for you.
Eh, it's a 4 cylinder Camry. It should be grateful that I'm giving it Castrol Edge and Kendall GT-1 Max. It could get just regular ole Supertech or Kirkland.

ugh 5w20 ***

test ****in 0w20 and 5w30
Because I felt this comment was not needed. I don't think we need to curse and bash PQIA because because they didn't give you what you want for free.

Oh nice pqia updated. But on a similar note does anyone else see 5w-20 and 10w30 a bit pointless these days. All companies could just cut those two out and we wouldn't be missing out on anything. Pennzoil started putting "also suitable for 5w-20 applications" on their 0w-20 bottles. And I think the same on their 5w30 bottles. I'd like to see a lot more of that in the industry. Less segmentation and simpler choices.

No. 5W20 is traditionally and by measure a higher performing and more stable oil than 0W20.

I run it Spring Through Summer in anything with a 0W20 cap on the oil Fill.

NO need for 0W or even 5W in the mild months.

5W20 is the 10W30 for the 21st Century :)

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was America. I guess people don't have freedom of speech anymore because *you* don't think they should be able to post things on an internet message forum.

Interesting philosophy you have. I'll make sure to run all of my future posts by you first to make sure I'm posting in compliance with your beliefs and thoughts.

I was talking about the 5W20 multigrade you disapproved of, not the brand. Those v8 sized pistons in a big 4 banger
traditionally like a bit more syrup to be happy.

carry on!
:)

With the oil consumption/ring freezing issue on some of the Toyota 4 cylinder engines, I wonder if that is a good idea though or if it would make things worse, yanno?

Same.

Although completely logical I've seen Pennzoil's own 5w30 be higher viscosity than their 10w30 and I believe Castrol edge 0w-40 can retain its viscosity better than their own 5w-40 which isn't intuitive as a thicker base should be better. Yet oils with lower winter grades usually have better base oils and can make up for that. If it were true in all cases I wouldn't advocate for their discontinuation. I believed the same thing for the longest time and would use oils with a higher number winter rating but a lot of uoa's don't always support it. Sometimes a 5w30 will be a higher viscosity than a 10w30 after the same use. But instead of using a 5w-20 to take shearing into account id try to use 5w30 instead. If anyone's afraid of an oil shearing just go an sae grade up instead of the winter rating.

Although I agree with you he didn't say you couldn't speak just told you to try to be more considerate that's all, and to just appreciate what comes our way if we had no contribution towards its cost and effort.
