For those of us without time/ local hydraulic shops, i can't see how anyone could go wrong with this Gates.

I do recall my neighbor getting several hoses made up at the local Napa for his farm/ excavation equipment though.

*This hose looks like the same one on my Jeep btw.

Edelmann - plews makes high pressure steering hoses for Omega, carquest, duralast, gates, acdelco, napa, powercraft, and a few others. I know gates makes their own for large trucks and other large applications. For cars though they get them from edelmann. Some carry different warranties but according to edelmann they are the same hoses just the rebranded for other companies and some of them add a longer warranty than the 1 year standard. I am on the fence as well do I go with an oe or oes for one made more or less by edelmann. I dont know how long they last compared to original ones. For my car, a hyundai I know a lot of the parts are made cheap. The original hose on my hyundia sonata is from 2005 but I only have 50k on my car. I wish I could be more help but I am looking around the net to see if the aftermarket ones would last longer or not myself.
