Power buffer leaves swirl marks?

Never used one ,always did it by hand,but now my shoulders are getting shot and I have 3 vehicles to buff.I will apply the 2001 polish by hand but want to buff with a power orbital buffer.Will this leave swirl marks?

The circular-type rotary polishers can certainly damage paint if used incorrectly. Not a tool for the novice car owner but a great machine for someone more experienced.

The buffers discussed there might be more suited to your needs. Stick with soft buffer bonnets and polishing towels and you should not have an issue with swirl marks.
