Pouring 5 gallon HDEO buckets

I use a gallon container and pour into that (with a clean funnel). It can be a little tricky but doable.

I'm an oil consumer that would benefit from the old 16 gallon small barrel size. I would love to get Euro 0w-30 and HDEO 5w-40 in that size. It would last me a couple of years and be worth the investment of a hand pumps and secondary containment. 5 gallon is too small (might as well buy in gallons, which I do) and 55 gallons is way too much.

Get the 550 ml syringe and call it the day. One round with the syringe gets you a bit over .5 qt of oil sucked in.
I use a metal one. It will last longer than me and is also really handy for filling diffs and transmissions.

Not sure what you’re putting it in but I buy my oil in 5 gallon pails. I have a large 2 gallon funnel I use with a screen in the bottom to catch any large particles in the oil. I have to fill the funnel multiple times but it works.

I have carried/poured 100s of 5 gallon buckets at my last job. Not fun. Like mentioned keep spout on top. I used to use 5 gallon buckets for my waste oil which added up to sometimes to 6-8.

What I do now is use the Amsoil transmission fluid 2.5 gallon totes for waste oil. I'm 64 now so way easier on me. Plus if filling full of waste oil you can see how much oil drained from the motor.
