Ohhh this gave me the good kinda goosebumps homie. I’m considering this for my siennna around its 100k mark lol. For now I have idemitsu TLS-LV to use for 4 drain and fills, but after… I’m hoping by then Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF is as legendary as it is for the engine oil.

It's 100% Valvoline Restore and Protect now. I flushed it through the cooler with 10 qts of ancient Maxlife I had. Hooked the cooler line back up and finished it. I just didn't have quite enough to get it to run out of the fill plug in drive. Hence, the last cup today.

I kinda want to haha. But I also would like to do this bout of idemitsu to get a baseline of how it feels with fresh essentially OEM fluid before switching - also, Valvoline Restore and Protect ATF isnt listed as WS compatible yet.

Stopped at Walmart for some Maxlife to do a drain and fill on my '07 Camry flipper. It's now $30/gal. It was $25 last time I checked and $20 for what seemed like years.

About 29k miles. I did a pan drop at about 60k and again at about 100k.

2017 Ford Flex 3.5 AWD and about 115,000km. Out was likely FF, it was quite dark, hint of red but not burnt smelling. Did 2 drain and fills using Mototmaster LV synthetic ATF.

The level appeared low before starting, it's possible the transmission seal is leaking next to the engine and. Ot the main seal.....

Maxlife has really shot up in price. Months ago it was 50$ for 5L at Walmart and 55$ at Cambodian Tire. Its now 59 at Walmart and 65 at CT. 10 years ago it was 35 at Walmart. The MM ATF was 50 for 5L. i think this is the Irving made flavor.

2026 Silverado 8L80 (10k miles, break-in change after 7300 mi trip with trailer). Mobil 1 blue label LV HP fluid/OEM filter Horribly annoying fill through vertical fill port on the side of the transmissionmission. Like others have mentioned in the past “is this what a trickle looks like?” when checking the fluid level. Also, being that ambient outdoor air temp was 95, never did get fluid down to 95-113F temp range. Set the level at around 128F. @Clinbarger advised to just check again when cooler temps prevail. Leveled my truck on jack stands before starting (using frame rails to level). There was very little debris on magnets. Two improvements over 4L60E: Positioning tabs/holes on gasket/transmission pan and filter seal integrated into filter, instead of that major PIA seal that was hard to get out of 4L60E.

04 Jeep GC, 5 speed 275K. In 12 qts clearance Fram ATF+4 and 14oz Lubegard. Out Valvoline ATF+4 with about 30K. Pan drop, both filters and cooler line exchange. Pain with the RTV scraping but thankfully no leveling or exact temperature business required.
