post your latest transmission lubricant change.

So with motor running/trans spinning in park it will drop down by 1.25qts on the level to be at or below that check plug?

I actually thought about that for next time. Fill the 3 quarts through the check plug and then only suffer through 1.25 qts through the top.

If doing it as you describe works, I can just use my quart bottle pump and do all of it through the check plug.
Unless yours is different, all these Kia/Hyundai transmissions are filled in the same way: up until fluid trickles out of the level plug, with the engine running and the transmission fluid at the correct temperature.

Sorry. Only after pics.

2014 F150 FX4 with 74.2k miles

Installed PPE pan with additional 4.25qts capacity

Installed Canton billet remote oil filter base with Fleetguard synthetic media filter in 8A size

Installed the overpriced B&M dipstick kit for the 6R80

Purchased 5 gallons of Amsoil SS atf from @Pablo had about a gallon already sitting around. Used that gallon plus 2.5 from @Pablo
So about 3.5 total of Amsoil SS ATF is installed

I'm going to file this one away in my memory.
Did you keep a pan filter as well?

Yes. Just replaced it with the pan swap. I don't think I'll be dropping the pan for quite some time though as the rear bolts are a real bear to get to.

I do need to search the garage for some leftover rubber I used between the toolbox & bed of my GMC as the hose is slightly touching the fitting on this filter setup. I'll just zip tie a wrap of the rubber around the hose to protect it from vibration.

I will add that the new pan really slows the trans temps from warming up. Also, when city driving or heavy traffic freeway driving, I haven't seen 200 degrees yet. Factory pan would regularly be 202 even in 55-60 degree weather. Today was nearly 90 on my way into work & trans temps only tapped 197 for a couple seconds then backed down to 193-195. When moving above 25mph, temps never rose above 195F.

That looks awesome! NThis should've been an option from the factory IMO. I remember the trans fluid pan drop being a PIA last time I did it on my f150. Nice work all around!

2001 Lincoln Continental with 74,500 miles. AX4N FWD transmission.
Pumped in 14 quarts of fresh Super Tech Mercon V while idling in Park. Had been done every 25K or so miles.

No pan drop or filter change this time.....did that last time at 49K miles and wasn't up for monkeying around with
a 24 year old pan with the factory gasket. Probably next fluid change around 100K miles I'll do the filter again.
Fluid was still very serviceable looking upon removal.....light maroon color.

Did a partial drain and refill on my wife's 2021 Nissan Rogue. At 47,910 kilometres. Drained just under 3.5 litres and replaced with exact same amount of Idemitsu N3. Belly pan was the hardest part of the task. Will do this again at 96k kilometres and might include the cartridge pleated filter on side of the CVT case, maybe take the pan off to clean the magnets?

2013 Honda Odyssey EX-L - 5 speed auto
203,679 miles on unit
No idea of service interval - purchased used
Out - 3.5 qts of "hopefully" DW-1 Honda transmission fluid
In - 3.5 qts of DW-1 Honda transmission fluid

Also replaced the front spool valve , it was leaking , like they do .
And installed a new VCMtuner to disable the VCM.
Night and day difference , runs like a totally different vehicle.
I was pleasantly surprised.

WOW.
The shifting has been always been clunky when cold and at low speeds. Super noisy as well. I live in the suburbs so lots of stop and go but at moderate/low speeds. Redline is the bees knees. It literally cured all my complaints with the transmission. Such a joy to drive now. At lower revs, it doesn't feel like a bag of marbles. My experience using their products in my previous '19 miata did the same. Worth every penny. I haven't had to drive it stone cold yet but the synthetic should perform better.
Also did oil+filter/air filter/cabin filter.

When I had my 17 SS1LE Redline D4 also performed much better at the track too when things got hot. All around major improvements over stock! Shift quality did degrade overtime, the fluid runs very cool unless you are at the track so was my running theory, but a drain and fill fixs that up.

----

On my GX460, Out Factory fill ATF that was dark as heck, even with a single drain and fill. Dropped the pan, clean the magnets and replaced the gasket and strainer.

In with WS, did a fluid exchange took some time but went smoothly 2qt out 2 in, till fresh fluid was coming out.

Good to know. I think their performance supplement says something like 15 hours of track time to change. The fluid didn't look dirty at all but the improvement is pretty remarkable. There wasn't any question of gear engagement but it just seemed to take more effort. Now everything is buttery smooth and quiet. Id like to track it one day but lack the experience and $ for consumables currently.

2011 Camry LE 4 banger, "Edna". 60K
First service.
Out: approx 2.2 qts factory fill. Nice reddish-brown color.
In: approx 2.2 qts Idemitsu TLS-LV (WS equivalent)

Used a cheapo temp gun to set the dribble level. Dang thing shifts so smooth and maybe pulls a little stronger? Placebo effect?
Actually the factory WS is a blend, the Idemitsu TLS/LV is full synthetic

13' Honda CRV AVD EXL. Installed a " Real" Magnefine" in line filter in 2020. Changed the OEM rock catcher external filter same time. What a bear to get to ! 614,000 mi. Every OCI, I dump 3 qts of Honda DW-1 and clean magnet, add new crush washer. OCI intervals between 3k-4k. Change the Magnefine every 5k. Overkill ???? Yeah probably. Peace of mind..no price on that.

2017 F150 6 speed 140k miles. I purchased 21 quarts of Mercon LV and diluted out the old fluid.

1st Change - drop pan change filter refill with 6 quarts
2nd, 3rd, 4th Change - Mityvac 4 quarts out, refill 4 quarts

Between each I drove the vehicle at highway speed and got the fluid up to temp. Should be good for a while now!
