Post your latest oil change

2015 Hyundai Sonata 2.4 N/A. Right at 50,000 miles on replacement engine. No oil burning so far, oil completely full at change this morning. Almost exactly 3,000 miles on Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w20. Went with Valvoline restore and protect and up the viscosity to 5w30 on this change with a Purolator One oil filter instead of the Purolator Boss that has been my go-to. From my research I found that the One is much more efficient and catches smaller particles than the Boss does, and is also cheaper. This is my first foray into the Valvoline Restore and Protect in this engine so hoping for good things. Not that the ultra Platinum has been bad by any means, I think it's a very good oil. But hearing such good things about Valvoline Restore and Protect I've been wanting to give it a try.

My Civic now only consumes about 1/2 a quart every 10,000 miles. It used to be a quart every 6000, but after 3 runs with VRP and now I’m on my second run with ESP 0w-20, it’s vastly improved 😊 It has 194,000 miles on it
I know you’ve made your mind up already, but given all the reassuring UOAs we’ve seen with longer runs on VRP, would be interesting to see if another run with VRP with 10k this time would drop it even farther, not that 1/2 quart over 10k is anything to worry about.

I’ve got 4 jugs of ESP 0w-20 so I’m fully committed now 😃

Future daughter In law’s 2020 Ford Ecosport with the 2.0l NA engine with 55,600 miles. The oci was just over 6,000 miles. Car looks in great shape. No leaks, weaps, or drips. This was my first oil change on this vehicle and I’ve never really seen one up close.

Out - Valvoline semi-Syn 5w20 and a jobber filter?
In - QS full syn 0w-20 and a Motorcraft filter
