Their lifetime warranty is basically BOGO. Buy say Motul 0w-30 send them back your used oil and you pay for shipping and they will creditnyour initial order.Where?
Since Hyundai has gone to port & direct injection their engines should run cleaner. Plus with 4K oci I think he'll be okay.Gonna wait until you start burning oil to run Valvoline Restore and Protect then?
I didn't realize you were talking about FCP Euro. It's more than BOGO. Over time it will approach an asymptote of your shipping cost.Their lifetime warranty is basically BOGO. Buy say Motul 0w-30 send them back your used oil and you pay for shipping and they will creditnyour initial order.
Shipping is not bad since I use Pirate Ship. No as long as the credit appears in your account you can spend that freely as you wish.I didn't realize you were talking about FCP Euro. It's more than BOGO. Over time it will approach an asymptote of your shipping cost.
Do they give you any trouble switching between brands as long as the container size is the same?
Yeah I wasn't trying to say shipping is bad. Just that as you do more changes, the cost per oil change will over time approach an asymptote which is your shipping cost.Shipping is not bad since I use Pirate Ship. Yes but in terms of getting the credit back, you haven't had any issues with a 5 L Motul for a 5 L Liqui-Moly for example? No as long as the credit appears in your account you can spend that freely as you wish
You have to buy the same SKU as you initially purchased and then returned to get full credit.Yeah I wasn't trying to say shipping is bad. Just that as you do more changes, the cost per oil change will over time approach an asymptote which is your shipping cost.

Siphoned out Mobil 1 Advanced Clean 5W30. Granted I got three plus quarts removed from a 4.2 qt sump yesterday but did it again and went back to old faithful Redline HP 5w30. These DI engines are hard on oil and the suggested oem weights are pitiful. Idle improved immensely and that 3.7hths definitely gave me more warm feelings inside. Returned the unopened jugs of Mobil 1 to Walmart and just decided I need to decide from here going forward what weight and I think2021 Toyota CHR XLE 56000 miles

Refilled same with a couple drops of Redline 5w30 to up the PAO that Mobil removed according to their latest SDS.

The 5W-30 Noack is 6%... Not far from 5%...I know the noack is 5% in their 0w20 but I like the robustness of their 5w30.
I knew it was low, thank you for correcting me.The 5W-30 Noack is 6%... Not far from 5%...
Yeah it’s a fantastic oil on paper.I knew it was low, thank you for correcting me.
No, I ran a bit of RL 0w20 & afterwards it was M1 EP HM 5w30 with a quart of RL 5w30. At its near end of life I posted getting a free case of Redline 0w30 after Autohance lost my order and they refunded my money. Used the last bit of that in this Toyota, but I think fuel dilution and low tension rings a robust oil was necessary. My source wants me to get three cases but it will be free shipping no tax and very competitive pricing. I kinda kicked the RP HPS 5w30 can but with the success I have had and using their cvt fluid almost exclusively, its hard not to.Yeah it’s a fantastic oil on paper.
Is that what you ran for so many miles on your 420k+ mile Accord?
What's the HTHS difference between those two oils when new? Higher HTHS will result in higher oil pressure.2019 RAM DT 1500 Sport 4x4 w/5.7L HEMI (no start/stop or eTorque)

Mobil 1 EP 0W-20 from my stash (I have 30L of this stuff that I need to use up), Fram Ultra (OG) XG2 filter
Next change in the fall will be the HPL oil again. I may alternate between the two until the M1 is used up.
Interesting observation, this is the oil pressure at idle with the HPL:

Almost a 10psi difference. Which leads me to think that there's a fair bit of oxidative thickening that has taken place. Sample has been sent to OAI for analysis, so we should know next week.
Do we have HTHS for the old PAO version of EP? The HPL starts around 2.7. However, my last run, which was 10,876km the oil thickened from 8.5 to 9.5, so I'm assuming it's even thicker now, with this longer run. What's the HTHS difference between those two oils when new? Higher HTHS will result in higher oil pressure.
