Post your latest oil change

2015 Chevy Silverado ext. cab 4x4 w/4.3 V6. 164,720 miles on the engine. 5 months and 5,164 miles on this OCI. The OLM was at 29%. This was the 3rd run of Valvoline Restore and Protect and I saved the filter to cut open and see if there are still black pieces of carbon like the last OCI.

This was also the first oil change that I got to try out the Valvomax oil drain plug/tool that I installed last time. It was a game changer, not a drop of oil spilled. Before this the oil would shoot out, hit the sway bar and spray everywhere, now just screw on the drain tool and everything drains through the tube straight into the recycling container.

Out: 6 quarts Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W-30
Off: Wix XP WL10255

In: 6 quarts Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W-30
On: Baldwin B7449

Spring is finally here! Still little bit of snow on the ground but what the hell. 1990 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue is getting prep for the season. All original condition.

Quaker State conventional, new oil filter, new air filter, new PCV valve, new fuel filter, new ATF and filter. Tomorrow new spark plugs and wires as well. 😀

The 2003 Accord has been leaking a ton of oil that I THINK was coming from the oil pan. As much as it was leaking you'd think it would be easy to figure out.

Anyrate, pulled the pan to reseal it, so it got an oil change (of course)

10,455 miles on this change, but I know I've added several quarts over that distance, it really was a huge leak.

Out:
Valvoline Full Synthetic 5W30
Champion COS3593A Filter

In:
Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W30
Champion COS3593A Filter
How did the internals look with the pan pulled?

2018 VW Atlas w/3.6 VR6. 75,069K mi odo. ~4.2K mi OCI (short OCI this time just to even up OCI mileage on 5s). 0 oil consumption. First OCI was at ~7K mi. I always run a can of Liquimoly DI Jectron through prior to the change.

Out. 6qt Liquimoly Leichtlauf High Tech 5W-40 + Mahle filter + Corteco drain bolt/washer.

In. 6qt Liquimoly Leichtlauf High Tech 5W-40 + Mahle filter + Corteco drain bolt/washer.

Will send back this oil change kit with some other stuff to FCP Euro for their world-famous Lifetime Replacement Guarantee.

Interesting issue after this change. It's happened before. Start it up on ramps after change...EPC/limp mode. Code was for a cam adjuster. Must have to do with a "dry" start and the angle? Cleared it/no further issue.

2012 Nissan Juke
139487 miles

Out: Unknown, Assuming an O’Reilly oil due to it being an O’Reilly service center according to the sticker, probably like a Napa?
In: 5qts Supertech High Mileage 10000 mile Full Synthetic 5w-30. Mobil 1 M1-110A filter

The oil was terrible looking on the stick (fuel diluted), but there was a sticker on the windshield that showed it still had 1000 miles left to go on the oil change interval. I changed it anyway since I did the valve cover gasket and I prefer to change oil after opening up an engine. It was down a quart anyway.

Did you pull the adjuster magnet and clean the pin? Or the spool valve screen?

Round 2 of Valvoline Restore and Protect
2015 Volvo V70 2.0l @115,953, 4,703 on Valvoline Restore and Protect #1.
A strong hand lens and sunlight revealed no black nor silver stuff.
The oil was remarkably not stinky nor opaque black. The vehicle was well maintained.

Still, I'm dying to get over to Edge Extended Performance A5, B5 in the fancy gold jug, the recommended oil,
