Post your latest oil change

Yes, it's always so nice to go back and loosen bolts that you yourself torqued to spec. And to loosen oil filters by hand because you only tightened them by hand when you installed them.
All the spin-on oil filters I've installed by hand to 3/4 turn (gasket always lubed with new oil) can't be removed by hand ... they all seem to seize up to some extent with use. Have to get out the filter end cap or some other filter tool to get it to loose enough to then go by hand.

Interesting. So far so good for me. And when I (re)started doing oil changes at home again, I was shocked the quick lube tech at the Nissan dealer properly tightened the oil filter down, and I was able to take it off by hand. I do have pretty good grip strength I suppose.

No more shudder when the vehicle transitions from ICE to EV and when I shut it off. I got a very distinct shudder with 1 quart HPL Engine Cleaner 30 and a mix of Euro C30 oils. Mobil 1 ESP 0w-30/5w-30 and Motul Xclean EFE Ow-30 before the Amsoil XL 5w-20.
What were the ambient temperatures there? Did the ICE go days without starting up? Then shudder when first started?

Temps fluctauted from single digits to 40s when I felt the shudder. Always cold start in heated garage set at 45F and never feel the shudder on cold start. Drove for 30 mins last week and I opened hood and I put my hand on radiator cap and it felt cold.

You must have the cleanest engine internals possible, given your oil change history and now switch to SS. Only 1000 miles on that oil??

Got to be clean! Have to ask; why such frequent changes?
I only wanted to run the combo of 1 quart of HPL Engine Cleaner and 5 quarts of Vavoline Restore and Protect to do whatever cleaning it would do in 1,000 miles so I achieved that . I'm changing oil on this Armada every 3,000 max but not on a Frankenblend mix of high esters and high Ca from the HPL Engine Cleaner 30 + Valvoline Restore and Protect.

I know it's your preference, but I have to think that the Motul you've run in the past and the AMSOIL you're running now could very easily do 5000 miles. I don't know if there's any engine a MB 229.5 oil couldn't handle 5000 miles on.
