There’s a rash of them this weekend:

2014 Ford F250 6.7 Diesel 135k miles
Out: Rotella T6 5W40

Roughly 5k intervals
2016 Mustang GT 5.0 64k miles
Out: Mobil 1 FS Euro 0W40
In: Mobil 1 FS Euro 0W40 Motorcraft filter
5k interval/once a year

2022 Kawasaki KLX300R
Out: I forgot, probably Rotella or maybe Mobil 4T 10W40
In: Rotella T4 15W40

2021 CFmoto Cforce 600
Out: Mobil 1 FS Euro 0W40
In: Rotella T4 15W40

I’ve never tried a 10W30 in the 6.7. The few used oil analysis I’ve seen on various 10W30s have been good, so I’ll give it a whirl for a bit. 1300 Super seems to have a good reputation, has the Ford blessing, and it is CHEAP.
The Stang always gets the 0W40. I like that bit of extra viscosity as it is not stock and sees nearly 8k RPM sometimes. That higher HTHS gives me the warm fuzzies.
I’ve tried a lot of different 0/5/10/15W40s in the off road toys, never noticed much difference one way or the other, they both still run great and use no oil with no funny noises, both have around 200 hours on them. I will say that the KLX’s somewhat clunky transmission was noticeably smoother on Delo 15W40 XLE SB than anything else I’ve tried so far. The quad gets a yearly change as it’s with a 3 quart sump that isn’t shared with a gearbox, so it is easy on oil. The bike gets changed frequently, about every 25 hours or so.

2021 Sonata, 2.5L Smartstream, 85.6k miles, my daughters boyfriend. He bought it used from Enterprise car sales about 1.5 years ago. His normal shop did some changes as well as Pep Boys at least 1x. No missing bolts or broken clips underneath (y). The service minder was not enabled so I presume the details are from last reset. 7410 miles/211 days (about 7 months). It will need a new oil pan gasket as its leaking some and getting messy. Old oil was dirty but didn't smell at all like fuel. I enabled the service minder for 5k/6 months. Motor looks clean at least through fill port.

It is burning some. Back in May it needed about 1.5 qts to get to full, I didn't check mileage but he does some decent drives to get to work. It might have been lower to start depending what shop did. Manual calls for 5.5 qts, takes 6.2qts to full. After a recent trip to PA it needed an another 1/2 quart. Doing the Valvoline Restore and Protect to try and stop that.

Out - 6.2 qts of unknown oil and Ecogard S211914 filter.
In - 6.2 qts of Valvoline Restore and Protect 0W-20 and OEM cartridge 26350 2S001. Says made in Korea.
2021 Sonata, 2.5L Smartstream, 91.8k miles, my daughters boyfriend. Second oil change with Valvoline Restore and Protect. He went 6200 miles on it, 1200 over the maintenance minder we had set. He has been working many hours and weather didn’t cooperate when he and his car were available. Dipstick showed full still before I drained it, no oil added, no detected fuel smell.

Out - 6.2 qts of Valvoline Restore and Protect 0W-20 and OEM cartridge 26350 2S001.
In - 6.2 qts of Valvoline Restore and Protect 0W-20 and Carquest Premium 95329.

Side note - I don't recall my few past Valvoline Restore and Protect's having the extra seal with tabs I could pull it off on them. All cap seals were intact.

A very cool collection of vehicles! What do you think of the 2021 CFmoto ? I’ve heard good things about their products.

Thanks!
It’s actually a pretty good machine. I’ve ridden it quite hard since buying it new, and had two issues. One is a rear shock seal blowing out, not a big deal. The other was a bit on the major side.
There’s a bolt that holds the yoke to the rear gear case pinion, and the bolt is also what holds the pinion in place in relation to the ring gear. It’s a very simple setup.
I was approximately 25 miles away from camp when the bolt snapped off! There were still splines to drive the pinion, but proper pinion depth was lost without the bolt. I limped back, and disassembled the unit when I got home. There was no lasting damage, and I replaced the broken bolt for roughly a dollar. I figure it was a freak failure, possibly due to to improper torquing at the factory or a overly hard and brittle bolt.
I’d buy another one after my experience with it though. It rides nice for a big fat 2 seater couch of a quad. The CVT is a good unit made by CVTech out of Canada and still on the original belt, holding up great. EFI is by Bosch. It will go anywhere you’ve got any business taking a quad, has a built in winch, and was priced right.
