Post your latest oil change

Little late to post, but nevertheless. Friday 11/14, changed the oil in the 2005 Suburban and my Mom's 2018 Tahoe with the new L83 5.3.

2005 Suburban, Gen III LS, 5.3 L59 flex, 255,900 on the odometer
About 2,921 miles on the OCI... heading into winter wanted it changed.

OUT: 6.5 qts mix (using old jugs) of Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 and Rotella T4 15W-40, Microgard Select MSL51522 filter
IN: 6.5 qts of Mobil 1 FS 0W-40, Microgard Select MSL51522 filter

2018 Tahoe, Gen V LT, 5.3 L83, 154,933 on the odometer
About 1,732 miles on the OCI. Second time changing the oil on the new motor so have been doing short changes. First 500, then 1,700mi... now we'll settle around 3-4k.

OUT: 8.5 qts Mobil 1 FS 0W-40, ACDelco PF63 filter (blue can)
IN: 6.5 qts Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 + 2qts Mobil 1 FS 0W-40, ACDelco PF63 (blue can)

New motor is running sweet. Mom is very invested now in strict maintenance on this thing so that is a great thing.

2010 Tacoma 4.0
68,383 miles
OCI: 3,025 miles (2-4-25 to 6-27-25)
Out: Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30, Toyota 90915-YZZD3
In: 5.5 quarts Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30, 90915-YZZD3

I also sucked out and refilled the PS fluid with Supertech Mercon V and changed the engine air filter (SuperTech 3315).

This is the second fill of Valvoline Restore and Protect. I cut open the filter and there was nothing crazy going on in there, just a little carbon in the pleats. There is a spot I can see down the filler neck that the varnish is starting to come off of. I couldn’t get my phone to focus on it, but there is definitely a little cleaning happening already. 2010 Toyota Tacoma 4.0
73,327 miles
OCI: 4,944 miles (6-27-25 to 11-25-25)
Out: Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30, 90915-YZZD3
In: Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30, 90915-YZZD3
The PS fluid reservoir was evacuated and refilled with Supertech Mercon V.

This is the start of the third run of Valvoline Restore and Protect, with about 8k miles of Valvoline Restore and Protect in this engine so far. I cut open the oil filter this time as well and there wasn’t anything notable in it. There was a few small carbon looking particles in the bottom of the filter and a few in the pleats, maybe a little more carbon in the pleats than last time but nothing significant. The inside of the engine looks the same as it did at the last oil change, no notable visible cleaning this time. I’m shooting for a 3k mile OCI this time around.

Little sparkles yes. I am doing another oil change when I hit 2000 miles. then another at 5k miles. 3 oil changes to hit 5k miles so I can sleep better. lol
I feel you.
I did 1k and 4k oil changes, there was little to no break in residue that I could see with my eyes on the 4k oil. But the 1k change really proved that was a brand new engine
