Look at the vanes on the filter never had them do this before. Perhaps a year is to long on Mazda's OEM filter.

2007 Honda Fit Sport 350,000 miles

OUT: AMSOIL Signature Series 0w30 w/ Fram Titanium; 14,152 mile OCI/10 months, 3 Qts makeup oil added (used oil analysis results pending)

IN: Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w-30 w/ Service Champ HP4622

Plan: Run first Valvoline Restore and Protect interval to 3k miles and change again using this combo; run it up to 5k, rinse/repeat

Goal: Just interested in trying Valvoline Restore and Protect to see if performance/the modest oil consumption rate will improve at all over the next year worth of OCIs (at most), then I’ll be going back to AMSOIL Signature Series; possibly up to a yearly change pending used oil analysis (to be posted next week)
Here are the used oil analysis results for those interested on the “OUT” / previous OCI:

2022 Ram 6.2L

Out: Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w-40 7.5 Qts & Mopar SRT filter
In : Same.

The Mopar SRT Filters have really gotten stupid expensive and this was the last of my stock. Probably going to try a Carquest Premiun 85371HD as this is the direct cross from the SRT filter. Not sure what the HD filters are like but we will find out after I use one and cut it open.

1991 Chevy K1500 5.0 V8 154,850 miles
Just an old farm beater, it gets left overs and container drippings usually, last two years it was only driven about 900 miles a year.
Two quarts of Toro 10w30 full synthetic (a pretty blue color)
60 ounces of Toro 5w30 winter full synthetic
1 quart Conklin Convoy 5w30 “parasynthetic” (green color)
And a top off of Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 10w30

Uses up the end of my $1 per quart Toro oil from the hardware store that closed up this summer.

My anxiety kicked in running 0w40. Roughly only about 2,000 miles on the oil.
