2015 Mazda 5 at 195,000 miles.
Wix filter as the CarCo near me didn't have a MicroGard Select on hand.
Kirkland 5w20 5 quarts.
Filter prefilled and gasket wetted.
The old filter didn't take as many ugga duggas to twist off as before. Made sure to not twist on too far... again maybe 1/3 from spin-on contact.
Also sucked and refilled the piteously small power steering rez with Amsoil SS ATF. The color remains a darkish red but, is red nonetheless. Maybe still a bit plum colored from the M5 fluid that was in there. I could do this more often during the OCI. It just takes a while for the darker fluid to meander into the rez.
This car takes 5.3 quarts and I didn't have any spare extras, so the fill is just a bit off the top mark on the dipstick. I know, I know... engine go boom and deservedly so for this utter heresy. [[ I will top it off soon when I get to the store ]]
