In: 6 qt Liquimoly Leichtlauf High Tech 5W40, Mahle filter, Corteco drain plug. Ran a can of Liquimoly DI Jectron prior to oil change.

Of course, the fresh made in Germany Liquimoly smoothed out any noises, gave me a boost in mpgs, and improved my 0-60!

Boxed it all up and sent it back to FCP Euro for my refund along with a bunch of other stuff for a total of $310 worth of store credit, shipping was $29.

I want that factory oil out asap. I’ve broken in 3 new engines here of late and changed early and glad I did. It took a few oil changes before I was happy with what drained. To each their own though.
The number I have seen most for replacing new vehicle oil is 1,500 miles . Low enough if concerned with internal engine debris removal and high enough to have gotten a bit of mileage out of the factory fill . Your 2nd OCI and on can be at your regular OCI rate (i.e. 5K miles / 6 months).

I’ve done 1k, then 5k then run it. But I have no proof that running the factory fill would have done the same. Makes me feel better, but that’s about it.

2014 Ford Fusion
2.5L 4-cyl
~228400 miles
5400 miles on this oil change interval that includes at least two interstate-only 900 mile round trips to Michigan from Iowa
Valvoline High Mileage 5W-20
Motorcraft FL910S.
No reason to switch from what got me here. It neither uses or leaks any oil between OCIs
