When I got my UOA back from the factory fill in my Corvette, with 1100 miles on it, that oil already had thinned out to a 5w20 because it had 2% fuel in it. I’m sure glad that I got it out of there early.I want that factory oil out asap. I’ve broken in 3 new engines here of late and changed early and glad I did. It took a few oil changes before I was happy with what drained. To each their own though.
Once an engine is broken in I don’t like to get rid of perfectly good oil before 6k but when the engine is new I feel like it’s time and money well spent to change the oil way sooner. You only have one opportunity to do an early change on the factory fill so it’s better to be safe than sorry
