Post your latest oil change

My sister's 2021 Prius Prime.
16k on oil (too much for my tastes but..) 60k on the car.
Since that is a PHEV much depends upon the ratio of ICE to total miles is. Presently I am at 4000 ICE miles to 12,000 total miles using M1 EP. At this rate it would be pretty foolish and wasteful for me to change the oil at 16K or even 20K. So how many ICE miles did your sister drive out of those 16K?

I more or less agree with you.

If we lived in a hotter climate and oil contamination by fuel or condensation were not a factor, i would'nt have it changed.. but around here (Quebec City) we deal with a lot of start/stop operation in cold, subzero temperatures and it will ruin engine oil in no time.

That is the kind of oil that gets out of my own 2024 Prius Prime at around 8 to 10k km of winter driving conditions. During summer, it gets out a bit blacker but just as cloudy..

I'll never, ever do a full 16k OCI run in my Prius.. that car just ruins oil. A bit more than sis's car due, in part, to the direct injection in my 2024 that wasn't in her 2021 but still, her car is more of a city dweller so it never fully gets up to temps properly and oil ends up looking cloudy too.. Oil is cheap, engines arent!

You serviced a running 18yo dodge 2.6?? 🤪

It may not be foolish at all depending on the condition of the oil from start/stop cycling of the ICE. See @K24Z7&M20AFXS post 21,986 above as an example.

And with our previous Toyota hybrid (non PHEV) the oil was pretty fuel diluted at 5-6K miles based on UOA’s. Enough to lower the viscosity by about one grade. Not something I was interested in pushing further. YMMV.

In my use case an OCI of less than 20k is most likely a waste. The ICE runs under two circumstances. The first of these is where we take the vehicle on road trips and the ICE powers the car at highway speed for hundreds of miles. Obviously that is pretty easy on a synthetic oil. The second case occurs in the winter when the temperature falls below freezing and I need heat. There are days when I commute < 7 miles to work with the ICE running. This is somewhat harder duty, but it is limited to roughly 15 weeks per year and it's generally not that cold everyday. The car might be subjected to 50 such short trips per year, but the ICE runs the entire time to produce heat. It might shut off at a traffic light once fully warmed up but it rarely cycles on and off while the vehicle is in motion.

It's all about the use case.

I've been drinking more oil lately so I have to get to a more premium selection. Any suggestions?
If you're in the US of A give the new Valvoline Restore and Protect a spin. A long ass time ago, my 1993 Civic used to really like Valvoline Max Life Syn-Power.. might not exist anymore..

Finally an aftermarket air induction that makes sense. Did the tone of the engine sound change after getting rid of the stock system? Any other observable changes such as mpg or power increase?
