Post your latest oil change

Ahhh ok! Not sure. It seems to be a special one as it has the cladding with "VR6" on the side so maybe? I'm not super familiar with MK3...that was the '90s, I was in college/grad school and in no-way buying cars.

I'm a huge Mk3 fan. I was in my 20's then and owned a few throughout the years. Always wanted a plum (mulberry) exterior GTI mk3.

2021 Chevy Traverse.

Female boss of mine, company vehicle. Did last oil change at 49,000 miles on May 19th.

Vehicle now has 58,700 miles in less than 2 months. Her commute is highway so she puts on almost 170 miles per day.

Out: ProTune 22500 filter and Safety Kleen 5w30 full Synthetic oil.

In: same oil and filter. Cut and post coming up. Rotated tires and adjusted all tire pressures to spec on door or 35 psi.

Coworkers 99’ Grand Cherokee with 4.0

279k on vehicle and very clean. Just fixed weeping rear main seal and had valve cover gasket replaced and new spark plugs.

Out: MC FL-400S from 2013 I gave him and some Harvest King 10w30 dual rated 10w30.

In: frankenblend of 2 1liter bottles TOTAL 10w60 and a gallon Rotella T5 10w30 Wal Mart clearance while ago. Filter used was M1 under $1 from AAP last Saturday.

Out: Unknown oil, thin. Napa filter, 2983 miles.
In: 6.5 Quarts 5w40 Rotella T6 SM, 2 Quarts Total Quartz 5w40 9000 Energy SN, Wix 57173 Filter

I purchased this vehicle late May of this year. Carfax said the dealership replaced the oil and filter. I wanted to baseline so it was dumped today and will be sent to Blackstone labs for analysis. I plan to run this change about 6000 miles. The old filter was a Napa and looked identical to the Wix except for a translucent end cap vs solid. The Rotella is at least 9 years old and has sat in my garage for that long with many long hot Texas days. Should be fun to see the results when I send that in for analysis as well. The engine ran smooth before, and smooth again.

Out: leaking made in China “Purolator tech filter#14476. Filter was barely touching baseplate and very loose. Some idiot at Irwin PA lube shop did last oil change.

In: PZ 38 oil filter and Safety Kleen full synthetic 0w20 oil. Boss took lots of photos of oil undercoating too for proof of something happens. Then I degreased undercarriage. Guess good help is non-existent 🙊🙊🙊
