Maybe when the ol' girl gets to the next oil change I'll have a used oil analysis done and maybe even open the FL910S and use the bore scope to see how things are looking internally. No reason to think there's anything bad happening, just personal curiosity.
In the '23 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0L D.I. 6M after 6304 miles and 4 months
Out with Valvoline Advances and 57055XP. I liked that WIX XP but the gasket melted/glued onto the mounting surface just like the previous Fram XG! Oil was wcold, watery and smelled like gasoline and had coloured bubbles floating on the surface

Out: Purolator “tech” oil filter and CarQuest 0w20 Synthetic from stash I have.
In: CarQuest Synthetic 0w20 and a WIX 10351

Brand new Silverado 2.7 couldn't wait to get the factory fill and filter off at exactly 4k ......it was surprising how dark it was
Dealer did a BG treatment before it even got out out on the lot for sale with 2 miles on it the charge was added to the widow sticker

Changed the oil in 4 Case tractors today, including all new filters as well.
Greased them, and changed a track roller wheel on one also.

Impressed so far ...... I have larger trucks for hauling or towing if need be

Yep part of a bunch of little things the dealer put on top of the MSRP to the tune of $999
The way I deal with those type of dealers is tell them to remove it or I'll go buy from someone else. They probably charged $300 for "nitrogen filled tires" ... they aren't called "stealerships" for no reason.
It says 7.5 in the manual but an even 8 always takes me to the full mark. It's a dry sump system.
One or two drain plugs?

One plug that has an inside and outside o-ring seal (one for the dry sump, one for the pan)..

In - Mobil 1 5W-20 Advanced Full Synthetic "triple action" API SP, SN Plus, SN, SM. New XG7317 and 3/4qt HPL Engine Cleaner30
'17 Accord 2.4L -7700 miles on oil, 95k miles on vehicle
Out - XG7317 and either Mobil 1 0W-20 or Pennzoil Platinum 0w20 topped off along the way with some MMO, Mobil 1 0W-40 Euro, maybe even shell gas/truck 5w30.
In- XG7317, Mobil 1 0W-20 High mileage with about 1/2qt of Pennzoil Platinum 5W-20 (needed the jug for waste) and 3/4qt HPL Engine Cleaner 30. My spare 3/4qt in trunk is Mobil 1 5W-40 Euro so that will be top off as needed.
