Post your latest oil change

Hope you didn't have to remove the wheel to get to the oil filter . ;)
LOL I didn't have to remove the wheel, but it is much easier to access the filter that way! I also used my new Form-a-funnel, and wanted to see how best to position it to catch the filter spill.

2012 Hyundai Accent, 1.6L Gamma GDI

Moms car. Did an oil change about a year ago, only about 4,000 miles on the oil since then. 46,000 miles approximately on the car.

Oil was as black as coal.

Out: QSFS 5w30, OEM filter

In: Amazon Basics HM Synthetic Blend 5w30 (from the “sale” thread) OEM filter, bottle of Techron.

Oil level was still full and didn’t smell terribly of gas so I don’t think it’s burning or diluting the oil too much. Car runs great.

What ever happened to @Accent Abuser ?? I miss his high mileage Accent posts haha.

SHELL Formula users becoming dinosaurs :( . Used it years ago in 5w-30 and other grades . Then stepped up to their synthetic for quite some time until BJs Wholesale dropped both . Could get the Full synthetic well under $2 a bottle in box of 6 (?) . The Formula SHELL was available in a box of 12 (?) . Now it's very rare in the surrounding areas . Also used both oils with Toyota filters .

I used to use Formula shell in my Tercel, as it was about the cheapest 10w30 I could get and did a good job but now it's hard to find and too expensive (I'm in Canada).
