Post your latest oil change

On the new Hyundai's they have a plate just inside the valve cover, I guess to keep debris from falling in ,it's difficult to get a regular funnel in there. You gotta pour it with one hand and juggle the funnel with the other. Like you say ,then pour it slow. Hopefully it works out. I already ordered the ABN no spill.
Which one did you get? I didn’t see one for Hyundai Kia, but wonder if the Chrysler Mitsubishi one would fit?

Right now I’m using this type and it’s mostly secure on the newer Kia, but the older one i have to hold it steady.

2013 Ford Focus 5-spd. 119,824 miles. 4,183 mile OCI/~1 year. Service before son takes it to college in a few weeks. No consumption. Car is tuned and runs 93.

Out: 4.5 qts Supertech Syn 5W20, Motorcraft filter
In: 4.5 qts Supertech Syn 5W20, Supertech 20K filter

Also included Michelin f. wipers (Costco), Motorcraft r. wiper, Fram cabin filter, rotate tires, Gumout Regain fuel additive.

Car cost me $80 this year. Amazing reliability overall - it's had a battery, f/r brakes, and a p. side motor mount in ~10 years/120K. Bought new in '13 for ~$21K OTD, probably worth ~$6K now. Personal property tax is cheap. Insurance (liability/comp) is cheap (for a 19 year old primary driver). Gets mid-30s mpgs on the highway/mid-20s mpgs around town. The tune gives is bit better driveability. MX-75 5 spd is silky smooth.

Huge sump! What’s the mileage on the car and OCI?
First OC since getting it in May. I traded my Titan XD in and the 12mpg wasn’t ideal. Plus they gave me about 10k more than I paid for it initially.

Anyway the Camaro
Bought it with 21k on it. At 4000mi the OLM was at 50% figure I’d change it early since I’m starting a new job soon that’s around 120mi round trip 4-5x a week

On a related note: I went in to trade my Titan XD gasser and told the dealer I was looking for something more fuel efficient. He was trying to get me in a Malibu or Cruze. He laughed when I said Camaro.

“I thought you wanted fuel efficient?”
“I do”
“So a 4cyl Camaro? 6?”
“Nah I want the 6.2L”
“Sir that only gets 20-30mpg”
“Well sir that truck you’re buying from me gets 9-12 on avg sooooo”

Anyway it’s fun. Average around 26mpg, on the highway cruising around 70 I hit around 32mpg. City driving though. 17-21mpg.
Highest on the highway I’ve sat (consistently flat for a few miles) at 43mpg

And yes. 10quarts is crazy. My previous two trucks were 7qts. Guess I won’t have any left over half jugs running around anymore since the Mazda takes 5 as well. 😂

Teenager vehicle #2 this week. 2008 Lexus RX350. 139,097 miles. 4,931 mile/8 mos. OCI. No consumption. Car calls for 91 but we run 87 without issue.

2006 Acura TSX, Mighty K24, 209K, 4,800 mile OCI, 8 months
Out: 5 qt M1 High Mileage 5w30, M1 110 filter (on for 2 services)
In: Same oil, XG7317
Also rotated tires, swapped cabin air filter. MityVac for the win! I hate the oil filter location and it is more stucker when it is left on this long (19 months).

Does anyone know what the little white i in the left hand corner means?
