10k mile interval
In: Valvoline EP 5w30 and Fram Ultra
Discovered a rather fresh oil leak from the top of the engine which will be the very first issue we’ve had with the car so with 134k miles I’d say that’s not to bad, gona be putting some money away to have a shop investigate and fix the source of the leak in the near future
What was the leak and have you always done 10k intervals?

I’ve done 10-15k intervals I think the farthest I’ve ever pushed it was 18k-19k a couple of times but the oil would get extremely diluted with fuel didn’t seem to bother it any though, that said it’s a vacuum pump on the back end of the head that’s leaking oil, fairly easy to get to just gota get some time to change it out

Two oil changes in one afternoon.

2019 Subaru Crosstrek. Out: Unknown 0w20 (maybe Subaru brand) from last dealer change, Subaru (Fram) 15208AA15A filter. In: Kirkland 0w20, Mazda (Tokyo Roki) N3R1-14-302 filter.

2011 Subaru Forester. Out: Kirkland 0w20, Mazda (Tokyo Roki) N3R1-14-302 filter. In: same and same.

I just found a deal on Champ Labs filters, got a case of 12 USA-made PH2867 for $34 shipped, so when I've used up these Mazda filters I'll be switching to the Champs. EDIT: I see I could have got them even cheaper at Rock Auto. Oh well.

2019 Honda Civic Sport 2.0
~3k miles on oil, 43,921 miles on car. OLM @15%. OLM averaging 3k seems to be awfully short for modern oils.

Out: Unknown Chicago dealership oil
Honda filter

In: ST 0W-20 mixed 5:1 with HPL Engine Cleaner
Mobil 1 filter.

Going to continue with OLM and Mobil/Castrol/QS/PP/ST/Valvoline on sale until the warranty ends. Then use UOA to determine a reasonable OIC with one of the above oils.

Would have put in regular M1, but the local Walmart only had M1 HM.
