2015 Focus 2.0 27,491 miles

Out: Royal purple 5w20, motorcraft FL400s

In: Rotella gas truck 0w20, motorcraft FL400s

Royal purple only had 2700 miles on it. I just purchased the car in September so I figure the Royal purple was a good synthetic flush since I had no idea what was in there before.

Also added an AEM dry filter as well.


Anyone run the FL400s in place of the FL910?

A buddy recommended I try it since it has a bigger capacity. The 2700 miles I put on that filter seemed fine. Just curious others thoughts

I did not buy the car new, I bought it used a year ago today from a Toyota dealer so I assumed they used TGMO.
The reason I used Magnatec is because I found 7qts on sale at Napa for $2 a qt while I was there purchasing a part.

I'm actually liking it so far, was kinda worried about the filter but then found it's made by Fram with newer gasket same as M1/K&n filters have.
