Out with bulk I assume and likely GM/Delco filter? OLM reading 45% if correct?

This was our first oil change with my son's new to him car.
His comment surprised me, saying how much quieter his engine seemed to run. I didn't mention anything other than saying Pennzoil is good oil and its the same oil I use in my truck and his Mother's car.

2015 Ford F-150 3.5L Naturally Aspirated (non Eco Boost) Flex Fuel
Out: 5w30 Mobil 1 oil and filter, changed at 5,000 mi OCI.
In: Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 oil and filter (15,000 oil). I’m 5,000 mi into this oil, so far so good.

Changed oil in my 2005 Corvette which I bought new. Out 5w30 Castrol Magnetec 100% synthetic and the same went in. The OLM was only down to 71% however I had not changed the oil and filter until very late fall and went on one road trip and did some cold starts every couple weeks in a heated garage with the door open. I had a new Mobil 1 filter on it and I just changed the oil since the filter probably only had 2 thousand miles on it. I wanted to change the oil only because we are going on a 3,000 mile road trip soon and I wanted it to have nice fresh oil. The filter should be good with such minimal use. The car is almost to 60,000 miles now.
